The MPPS “Complete” or “Discontinued” states can be set from user interface.The default PDU size used will be 32KB.4.2.8.2.2 Number of AssociationsThe Artis zee/zeego DICOM application initiates one association at a time to create or set theMPPS instance.4.2.8.2.3 Asynchronous NatureThe Artis zee/zeego DICOM software does not support asynchronous communication (multipleoutstanding transactions over a single association).4.2.8.2.4 Implementation Identifying InformationFor Implementation Identifying Information please refer to “Table 3 - Implementation IdentifyingInformation” in the “Conformance Statement Overview”.4.2.8.3 Association Initiation PolicyThe Artis zee/zeego DICOM application will notify a RIS (MPPS Manager) about the status of aprocedure while it is performed. It establishes an association by using the• N-CREATE DIMSE according to the CREATE Modality Performed Procedure Step SOPInstance operation or a• N-SET DIMSE to update the contents and state of the MPPS according to the SET ModalityPerformed Procedure Step Information operation.It is possible to configure multiple MPPS providers but only one can be active at a time. Theactive MPPS provider can be selected in the user settings.4.2.8.3.1 Activity - Patient registered4.2.8.3.1.1 Description and Sequencing of ActivityA patient is registered by the Patient Registration “Exam” action. From this event the trigger tocreate a MPPS Instance is derived. The related Instance is then immediately communicated tothe configured RIS system.
