4PARAMETERSSelection and protection of a motor(1) Before performing offline auto tuningCheck the following before performing offline auto tuning.· Make sure advanced magnetic flux vector control (Pr. 80, Pr. 81), real sensorless vector control or vector control (Pr.800) is selected.· A motor should be connected. Note that the motor should be at a stop at a tuning start.· The motor capacity should be equal to or one rank lower than the inverter capacity.· The maximum frequency is 120Hz.· Motors such as high-slip motor, high-speed motor and special motor cannot be tuned.· Even if tuning is performed without motor running (Pr. 96 Auto tuning setting/status = "1"), the motor may run slightly. Therefore, fix the motor securely with a mechanical brake, or before tuning, make sure that there will be noproblem in safety if the motor runs. (Caution is required especially in vertical lift applications). Note that if the motorruns slightly, tuning performance is unaffected.· Note the following when selecting offline auto tuning performed with motor running (Pr. 96 Auto tuning setting/status ="101").Torque is not enough during tuning. The motor may be run at nearly its rated speed. The brake is open.No external force is applied to rotate the motor.· Offline auto tuning will not be performed properly if it is performed with a surge voltage suppression filter (<strong>FR</strong>-ASF-H) connected between the inverter and motor. Remove it before starting tuning.· When exercising vector control, use the encoder that is coupled directly to the motor shaft without looseness.Speed ratio should be 1:1.173
