NATIONAL METAL AND NONMETALFIRST AID CONTESTGENERAL RULES1. The First Aid team must fur nish the ba sic first aid sup -plies needed to com plete the prob lem un less spec i fiedby the con test co or di na tor that the sup plies will beavail able at a spe cific station.2. All ma te rial used to solve the first aid prob lem will bepicked up by the team prior to mov ing on to their nextpro spec tive sta tion.3. CPR and ab dom i nal thrusts will only be per formed on aman i kin.4. Any vi o la tions of the gen eral rules not cov ered in thedis count sheets will re sult in ten (10) dis counts for eachinfraction.5. Team mem bers must wear an ap proved pro tec tive hat,identification tag, safety shoes, permissible cap lamps,self-res cuer, and safety glasses.GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES1. The First Aid Con test will con sist of first aid prob lemsand a writ ten ex am i na tion.2. One first aid team will be al lowed to com pete for eachmine res cue team en tered in the Mine Res cue Con test.3. The first aid team will con sist of three mem bers of themine res cue team.4.
