17. The team will not be per mit ted to use first aid man u alsfor ref er ence pur poses dur ing the prob lem solv ing orbe tween work ing sta tions.18. If ox y gen is re quired in the treat ment of a pa tient, itmay be sim u lated with the use of a mask. No ox y gentank will be re quired.19. There will be no sim u la tions on the pa tient. Alldress ings and splints must be placed prop erly.20. Team mem bers are not al lowed to leave the work ingarea to ob tain ma te ri als for the prob lem.21. Stim u lants will not be given to any pa tient.22. When dig i tal pres sure is ap plied to the proper pres surepoint, bleed ing will be con sid ered un der con trol and ac -knowl edged by the judge.23. Rough treat ment of pa tient is not al lowed.24. If a tour ni quet is re quired in First Aid prob lem, do notsecure tightly.25. As sis tance in treat ment from a sup pos edly un con sciouspa tient is not al lowed.26. Teams fail ing to com plete prob lems at sta tion 2 in thespec i fied time will be dis counted.27. The win ning six teams will be an nounced dur ing theban quet.28. Fol low ing the award ing of the tro phies and plaques,team rank ings will be avail able to the teams. The re sultsfrom each sta tion of the con test will be given to theteams at the ear li est pos si ble time.WRITTEN TEST1. The writ ten test will be given while the con tes tants arein iso la tion and will con sist of twenty-five (25) true/false and mul ti ple choice questions. The ques tions willbe taken from the Sev enth Edi tion of Brady “First Re -sponder”, Chap ters: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11.
