BENCHMAN’S CONTESTDRAEGER BG-174A BREATHING APPARATUSGENERAL RULES1. One bench man will be al lowed for each team en tered inthe Mine Res cue Con test.2. Reg is tra tion will be made with the team reg is tra tion.3. Contestants will compete in reverse order from theteam's field draw ing or der.4. The Bench man’s Con test will be held at des ig nated locations and times over a two-day pe riod in con junc tionwith the preliminary Mine Rescue Field Competitions.The teams not work ing the mine res cue prob lem willcom pete in the Bench man’s Con test. All writ ten test ingwill be con ducted at the same time. Con tes tants will re -main in iso la tion un til they fin ish the bench com pe ti tionor they will be dis qual i fied. The lo ca tion of the com pe ti -tion will be noted. The Con test Di rec tor may waive thisprovision, if warranted by extenuating circumstances.5. The bench con tes tants will be pro vided with one fullyas sem bled BG-174A, an RZ-25 tester, defogging so lu -tion, leak de tec tor fluid, and all parts nec es sary to com -plete the prob lem(s). Only tools, ap pa ra tus, and test ingequip ment pro vided by the judge will be used by con -tes tants to work the prob lem.58
