He graduatedwith B.S/M.S. and ph D. in Department of Life Science in Pohang Science and TechnologyUniversity. During his postdoctoral period, he performed pioneering works on epidermalgrowth factor receptor (EGFR) structures including crystal structures of Her-3 and Her-2/Herceptin complex. His research interests are molecular mechanisms of receptorsinvolved in cancer and immunity in terms of structure. Recently, I determined the crystalstructure of 4-1BB ligand, co-stimulatory protein for T-cell activation and suggested theactivation mechanism between 4-1BB and 4-1BB ligand.
