The Amarillo Fire Department (AFD) consists of twelve fire stations and staff whose mission it is to protectlives and property in the community by providing the highest quality of professional services. AFD fights firesand responds to life threatening medical emergencies, as well as responding to HAZMAT incidents. They areactively involved in investigation, fire safety and prevention, and education.
