The Amarillo Civic Center, located downtown,is the site of the annual AmarilloChamber of Commerce BusinessConnection ®networking event. Many area residents visit theCivic Center throughout the year; they attendtrade shows, dog shows, and antique shows.The Civic Center hosts scores of concerts andconventions each year, as well as the popularannual Make-a-Wish Car Show. It is also the siteof numerous craft shows and an annual citywidegarage sale. Sporting events bring fansdowntown to the Civic Center; a number ofregional and national youth sports competitionsare held in Amarillo.
