RABERNRENTAL CENTERCLASSIC EVENTSWhen founders Gene Rahll and Steve Berneropened Rabern Rentals in 1984, they primarilyserved homeowners and contractors for constructionand repair projects. They also offeredsome party and wedding items, all under thesame roof with lawn and home improvementequipment. In 2000 heavy equipment wasadded to the rental inventory. The rental center,now solely owned by Berner, currently offers amuch wider range of items and has expanded toseparate facilities and two locations.Rabern Rental Center, located at 4807 SouthWashington Street and 8900 West Thirty-FourthAvenue, rents home improvement and repairequipment, lawn and garden equipment, andheavy-duty commercial grade equipment. The2007 expansion to the Thirty-Fourth Streetlocation added convenience for residents andcontractors in western Amarillo. They offerresidential and commercial grade equipmentsuited for everything from weekend homeimprovement and repair projects to large-scaleconstruction jobs. Available rentals range fromair tools to forklifts and eighty foot boom lifts.Hand tools, ladders, air compressors, lawnand garden equipment, skid loaders, andbackhoes are just a few of the items RabernRentals have available to meet their customers’equipment needs. The Washington Street locationoffers concrete for big and small jobs.At Rabern Rentals, their motto is “we rent andsell almost everything.”In 2009, Rabern Rentals built a separate partydivision at their Washington Street locationand opened Classic Events, Amarillo’s one-stopparty and event shop. Classic Events has anextensive inventory of items for weddings,parties, and other events. Their showroomdisplays a selection of fountains, dinnerware,silverware, linens, glassware, serving andbeverage pieces, elegant gold and silver items,wedding accessories, and audio/visual equipment.They also rent tables, chairs, canopies,and tents. Delivery and pick up and set up andbreak down service is available with advancerequest. Experienced staff is available to easestress for brides and grooms by helping withplanning the perfect wedding from rehearsaldinner to the reception. A full line of party andwedding napkins, glasses, plates, invitations,candles and favors is available for sale.Rabern Rental’s diverse selection of rentalequipment and party and wedding decor is newand up-to-date. Ongoing reinvestment andreplacement keeps the inventory modern and ingood repair. They credit excellent equipment andlong-term customer relationships with bringingcustomers back year after year.
