Everett’s was founded by Everett Rurywho established a much needed niche inthe marketplace to make faucet partsavailable in the Amarillo area. In 1971 whenhe established the company, faucet repairparts were in short supply. Everett who wasa master plumber, and had establishedEverett’s Plumbing in 1952 set out to amassan inventory <strong>of</strong> faucet parts.Over the years he worked to buy out theinventories <strong>of</strong> companies who were going out<strong>of</strong> business and acquired parts everywhere hecould. The concept worked because the businessthrived, the company became successful.Today Everett’s continues to buy out oldinventories and carries most brands <strong>of</strong> partsincluding Delta, Moen, Price Pfister, Kohler,and American Standard. People in Amarillohave come to know that Everett’s carries partsand supplies that cannot be found elsewhere.Other stores <strong>of</strong>ten send people to Everett’s t<strong>of</strong>ind parts to help with their repairs because“even if Everett’s doesn’t have it, they can usuallyget it.” Customers have said “if Everett’sdoesn’t have it, you can’t get it anymore!”Throughout the years, Everett was in businesswith Cliff Lowrance who founded C&EMechanical with him and he also foundedABE Mechanical with his brother-in-law AlbertRobertson and his son-in-law Bob Weaver.His wife Lynn Rury was his biggest supporterand worked in the business at times. WhenEverett’s Faucet Parts became a successfulventure, he quit plumbing and stayed activethere until his retirement. Subsequently, Boband Linda Weaver operated the firm untiltheir retirement when their son Scott Weaverand his wife Nikki became the owners. Today,Scott and Nikki are proud to be Everett’sthird-generation family owner/operators.They provide excellent customer serviceand have a reputation that brings repeat business.People keep coming back, because theknowledgeable Everett’s staff has the answersto their plumbing questions. Many employeesthroughout the firm’s history have plumbingbackgrounds and hands-on experience.Customers are reassured when the people atthe counter know what they are doing.Whether sponsoring various charities’fundraisers, supporting teams at the AmarilloChamber <strong>of</strong> Commerce Barbeque, or donatingsupplies for plumbers involved inHabitat for Humanity projects, the companyis also dedicated to service outside <strong>of</strong> thebusiness.
