Throughout the1980s and 1990s and into the twenty-firstcentury, Nunn Electric Supply Corporationcontinued to be a major distributor of electricalsupplies in addition to its appliance distribution.In 2006 the electrical supply sideof the business was sold to Border StatesElectric as a result of Burdette successfullyleading the company’s negotiating team. Atthe time of the sale, Nunn Electric SupplyCorporation had twenty-three branches ofelectrical supply locations, and was doing alarge percent of the electrical supply businessin Texas and New Mexico.In recent years, the appliance distributionbusiness has continued to grow and Hare, Jr.,is still at the helm of the company. Furniturelines have been added, and today the focus ofthe company is the wholesale distribution ofhome appliances, consumer electronics, bedding,and furniture. They serve over 150independent dealers in the Texas Panhandleand tri-state region, and are dedicatedto providing the best productsfor the best price. Productlines include General Electric,Frigidaire, Samsung, Speed Queen,LG, and Broyhill. They credit theirextensive network of excellentdealers for their continued growthand success. Now named TheNunn Company, Ltd., the firm continuesthe tradition of establishingand nurturing relationships withsuppliers and dealers alike. As inany business, an understanding ofthe marketplace and fulfilling aneed are ingredients for success.Being able to adapt and identify aniche in the marketplace has keptthe company viable for over 100years.
