As Traffic Engineerfor the city of Amarillo, Ted worked to movetraffic more efficiently throughout the city byrecognizing the human factor element intransportation engineering. After forming hisfirm in 1972, his belief in a need for accidentanalysis and reconstruction created a uniqueplace for him in the industry as an expert inforensic and human factors engineering.Ted’s son George W. Abrahamson joinedthe firm in 1973, graduated at AmarilloCollege with a degree in engineering technologyin 1983 and then graduated at Texas TechUniversity where he earned his civil engineeringbachelor’s degree in 1991. Together, theAbrahamsons have provided the finest inengineering, planning, and surveying locally,nationally, and internationally. Their engineeringexcellence lies in the structural, trafficand transportation, geotechnical, hydrologyand hydraulics, and environmental fields andincorporates land surveying into their sitedevelopment projects.They have provided professional opinionsthrough forensic engineering for numerouslegal cases within thirty-eight of the UnitedStates and five outside the U.S. Their investigativeresearch, scientific vehicle accidentanalysis and reconstruction, and presentationof comprehensive engineering reports havehelped resolve many controversies.
