Achievements of the College:<br />
• The NSS volunteers also raised an amount of Rs. 1.7 lakhs and with staff<br />
contributions, a total amount of Rs. 2.12 lakhs was presented to the School<br />
dedicated for Special Children managed by the Chetna Charitable Trust,<br />
Curchorem.<br />
• Won Second Place at the Street Play competition organized by the State Welfare<br />
Bureau, Directorate of Health Services.<br />
• Won First Place for Folk Dance at Goa Yuva Mahostav; various prizes at<br />
Srujonostav; consolation prizes at the All Goa Inter-Collegiate Elocution<br />
competition organised by DMC, Mapusa and Patriotic singing competition<br />
organized by S. S. Dempo College.<br />
• Preeti and Supriya bagged second place at the All Goa Annual Chemistry quiz<br />
competition.<br />
• Sonali and Alpita won the second place at the All Goa Economics Quiz competition<br />
organized by Rosary College.<br />
Sports achievements:<br />
• Won inter-collegiate Judo Championship (men) and Kho-kho Championship<br />
(women) organized by Goa University.<br />
• Won Cross Country Championship (men) organized by Fr. Agnel College, Pilar.<br />
• Runners up at the Goa University Cross Country and Athletics Championship<br />
(men). In all, the College bagged seven gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals<br />
at the Goa University Athletics Championship and two gold and eight bronze<br />
medals at the Goa University Judo Championship.<br />
• Micky Vaz, Krupesh Gaonkar, Assalam Shah, Prashant Gaonkar, Sintia Menezes and<br />
Sera Diniz represented Goa University at various All India Championships.<br />
Conferences/Workshops organized:<br />
• Organized Regional level training programme for Heads of Institutions and Key<br />
Personnel dealing in statistics for the states of Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka,<br />
Maharashtra and Kerala in collaboration with MHRD, New Delhi & DHE,<br />
Government of Goa.<br />
• Organized jointly with the Directorate of Higher Education a State level Seminar<br />
on “The Proposed Central Bill on National Council for Higher Education and<br />
