Achievements of the College:
• Commenced new courses in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Established the Intermediate Reference Laboratory for Culture and Drug Sensitivity
of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
• Involved in Pharmacovigilance Programme of India.
• Offers MS – ENT Course recognized by MCI, New Delhi.
Teachers deputed for higher studies under FIP or on Fellowship:
• Yuri Dias Amborcar, Professor in Plastic-Surgery obtained IX IPRAS International
Traveling Fellowship in 2011 of Association of Plastic-Surgeons of India.
• Vishal Sawant visited Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, (U.S.A.) as an Observer
for a period of 1½ months (October – November 2010) in the division of Pediatric
Urology, Department of Pediatric-Surgery.
Sports achievements:
• Secured Second place in Chess at the intercollegiate meet.
• Secured Third place in 2 events in Swimming at the intercollegiate meet.
• Won All Goa Inter-Medical/paramedical Cricket Tournament organized by Shri.
Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College, Shiroda.
• Sanjivi Kamat, participated in the 3 rd West Zone Taekwondo Championship.
• A. B. Patil secured First place at all Goa Inter IMA Badminton tournament 2010
and was awarded the Best Player award at all Goa inter IMA Cricket tournament
2010. He also secured Second place at All Goa State Ranking Badminton
Tournament 2010 as well as at All Goa Intercollegiate Individual Badminton
tournament held at Damodar College, Margao 2011.
