(v) Study India Programme<br />
The SIP is a programme offered to a group of foreign students wanting to pursue study in<br />
India to earn credits. The universities/institutions desirous to send a batch consisting not<br />
less than five students are required to contact the SIP Co-ordination Committee to<br />
prepare and sign a Memorandum of Understanding containing the course outline, timeschedule,<br />
credit transfer, and fee structure. The University is successfully running a Study<br />
India Program for the students of the College of International Relations, Nihon University,<br />
Japan. A batch of eleven students of Nihon University participated in the SIP 2010-11<br />
conducted from September 2010 to February 2011. The program included modules in<br />
Indian Languages & Literature, Indian Society, Indian History, Political Systems, Indian<br />
Economy, etc., in addition to non-credit modules in Yoga, Indian Art & Music, etc., as well<br />
as study tours to north and south India.<br />
