Achievements of the College:
• Career Guidance/Counseling, Employment and Placement Cell held interviews for
placement in association with HDFC Bank - 23 rd January, 2010.
• Health Awareness Programme on “Vector Borne Diseases” was organized by the
Eco Science Club and the Population Education Cell.
• Department of Geography and Economics organized a study tour to North India
for T. Y. B. A. students - 22 nd to 31 st December, 2010.
• 60 Students’ participated in All Goa Konkani Yuva Mahotsav held at MIK Campus,
Ponda - 15 th and 16 th January, 2011.
• College Fete 2011 was organized by the Students Council of the College - 1 st
February, 2011.
• Department of History organized a Heritage Fair ‘Pernem Darshan’ which was
partly sponsored by the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa - 17 th
to 19 th February, 2011.
• A Training Programme on “Motivation and Self Development” was organized by
the Science Association - 19 th February, 2011.
• The Eco Science Club of the College in association with the Community Health
Centre, Tuem, GKB Hi-Tech Lenses Pvt. Ltd., Geno Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Glenmark
Pvt. Ltd., and Abbort Pvt. Ltd., organized the Medical Camp for the villagers.
• The Science Association of the College in association with the Community Health
Centre organized a Talk on “Adolescent Health and Personal Hygiene” - 28 th
February, 2011.
• Ten days Summer Camp for students of neighbouring schools was held - 7 th to 16 th
April, 2011.
• The activities of the N.S.S. included talks on the topics “Drug Abuse & Illicit
Trafficking”, “Importance of family life and values” and “Morality and Moral
values”; Celebrated Vanamahotsava - 9 th August, 2010; Held Blood Donation
Camps - 30 th August, 2010 and 17 th March, 2011, in association with Blood Bank,
GMC; Undertook Plastic Collection Drive at Malpe Railway station - 26 th January
2011 in collaboration with Nirmal Goa Mission.
• Seven day N.S.S Special Camp of the N. S. S. Units of the College was held from 13 th
to 19 th November, 2010 at Shree Shantadurga Higher Secondary School, Bicholim
Goa.
• Organised the First All Goa Inter-collegiate Kabaddi Tournament - 26 th November,
2010.
