The shortage of engineers is a major<br />

concern in Africa and across the world,<br />

where there has been declining interest<br />

of young people, especially women. As<br />

a means to increase female enrolment<br />

into engineering and science-based<br />

professions, the <strong>UNESCO</strong> Office in<br />

Nairobi organized Scientific Camps of<br />

Excellence for a second consecutive<br />

year. Students from Kisumu Girls’ High<br />

School (Kenya) at a third mentorship<br />

camp from 23 to 28 November 2015.<br />
