Colour? What Colour?<br />
In November <strong>UNESCO</strong> and Juventus Football Club launched<br />
Colour? What Colour?, a report on measures to fight racism and<br />
discrimination in international football. Drawing on research and<br />
surveys involving an international team of experts, researchers,<br />
football managers and officials, it takes stock of what has been<br />
and is being done, examines ways to assess measures undertaken,<br />
envisages complementary actions, and offers best practices. In her<br />
foreword to the report, Irina Bokova argues that sport provides a<br />
unique platform to promote the values of intercultural dialogue and<br />
understanding, as well as gender equality, while reinforcing social<br />
inclusion. However, Ms Bokova cautions against the fact that sport<br />
can also be exploited to divide and discriminate.<br />
