■ JEAN-FRANCOIS PACTET<br />
Jean-Francois Pactet is a member of the French diplomatic corps and currently<br />
serves as a counselor at the Embassy of France in Washington DC. He<br />
previously served as advisor for foreign affairs in the French Ministry of Foreign<br />
Affairs and International Development, and was a visiting fellow at the<br />
Center for Strategic and International Studies. His areas of expertise include<br />
foreign policy, international security, and international relations.<br />
■ DAVID POLLOCK<br />
David Pollock, the Kaufman Fellow at The Washington Institute, focuses<br />
on the political dynamics of Middle East countries. He is the director of<br />
Project Fikra, a program of research, publication, and network building<br />
designed to generate policy ideas for promoting positive change and countering<br />
the spread of extremism in the Middle East.<br />
■ MUHAMED SABRY<br />
Muhamed Sabry is an Egyptian journalist based in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.<br />
After studying at the International Center for Journalists in Washington<br />
DC, he returned to Egypt in early 2011 to document the January<br />
revolution.<br />
■ AARON Y. ZELIN<br />
Aaron Y. Zelin is the Richard Borow Fellow at The Washington Institute,<br />
where he focuses on the ways that jihadist groups adjust to the new political<br />
environment in countries transitioning to democracy. He is also a PhD<br />
candidate at King’s College of London and a fellow at its associated International<br />
Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence.<br />
