Set up in 2000, Nord Event
GmbH is one of the foremost
event agencies in the
north of Germany. Nord
Event offers one-stop services,
from a wide variety of
event areas in interesting
buildings and on board different
vessels down to the
last chocolate decorated
with the client’s corporate
logo. The company organises
some 3,500 events a
year.
It has three event venues
under its exclusive management
in Hamburg’s historical
Speicherstadt – Hamburg
Coffee Exchange, the
restored Speicherböden
warehouse lofts and the former
main customs office
Hauptzollamt Hafen Hamburg.
In addition to these facilities,
clients can also charter
the windjammer Mare
Frisium or book what is at
present Hamburg’s highest
event space, the Elb-Panorama.
The event agency currently
employs around 200

Stockheim Catering
Hamburg GmbH , a company
belonging to the Düsseldorf-based
Stockheim
group, is responsible for all

the exhibition catering and
food services at the CCH.
Stockheim Hamburg also
caters at events and markets
venues. In addition to
the Messmer Momentum
tea centre, the facilities serviced
include the Spiegelsaal
in the Art and Crafts Museum,
the Alt-Hamburger
Bürgerhaus civic centre, the
Sporthalle Hamburg and the
Tropical Aquarium at Hagenbeck
Zoo. Featuring 1,280
square metres of event
space, the Aquarium has a
large stage in front of the
Shark Atoll – one of Europe’s
largest, filled with 1.8 million
litres of seawater – and creates
a unique backdrop for
lectures and presentations.

Measuring 4,000 square
metres, the exhibition facility
MesseHalle Hamburg-
Schnelsen is a 20-minute
drive from the city centre
and the airport and possesses
a multipurpose conference
centre right next to the
exhibition hall. It is designed
for events requiring space of
between 70 and 500 square
metres. Rooms, equipment
and service can be booked
modularly and are used for
functions such as product
presentations, events and
annual general meetings.

About eighteen months ago
the Bremen-based event
agency JOKE Event AG
opened an outpost in Hamburg.
Established in 1992,
the agency now employs 60
people, located in Bremen
(its headquarters), Frankfurt,
Hamburg, Berlin and Stuttgart.
Its core operations revolve
around event concepting,
realisation and followup,
product and corporate
presentations, trade fair appearances
and congresses.
The full-service agency possesses
its own stock of
event equipment as well as
media and stage technology.
