Conference and exhibition host Ulm
Ulm-Messe intensifying
meetings trade
With the current
redevelopment and
newbuilds Ulm-Messe
has gained additional
attractiveness.
Especially congress
organizers draw an
advantage of the new
premises.
The new forecourt design,
the concourses to halls 3,
5 und 7, the newly-built LAGO
hotel, and finally the new Donausaal
– exhibition company
Ulm-Messe has spruced itself
up right in time for the
dawn of the new decade,
making the city an even more
attractive trade fair location.
Companies from the region
look set to derive the most
benefit from the expanded fa-
cilities. In May 2009 the former
Kleiner Saal, now renamed
Donausaal, was transformed
into a modern and
multifunctional event venue.
Flexible partition systems enable
the 650 m2 hall to be
downsized to as little as 70 m²
in seven different floor plate
versions, creating suitable
settings for all manner of different
functions for 20 to 550
people. State-of-the-art con-
ference technology, a flexible
stage and darkening facilities
are available for the newlycreated
premises.
Another asset is the direct
link to the recently newlyopened
four-star Hotel LA-
GO, providing 60 guestrooms
and 120 beds right next to the
exhibition grounds. The comfortable
conference hotel
rounds off the amenities and
is said to underscore Ulm’s
GERMANY
consistent development as
an exhibition city, particularly
in terms of its service.
With the current redevelopment
and newbuilds Ulm-
Messe says it has gained the
strengths of a traditional convention
centre while still featuring
the flexibility and proximity
expected of a high-powered
trade fair company.
From purpose-built conference
rooms through to altogether
22,000 m² of architecturally
aspirational hall space
and around 15,000 m² of outdoor
space, Ulm-Messe
claims to tick all the boxes for
order-writing trade fairs, product
shows, customer and
staff training, conferences,
assemblies, and congresses
catering for 20 to 2,000 participants.
Precisely for regional businesses
too, Ulm-Messe
therefore sees itself as an interesting
authentic presentation
option. There is no shortage
of opportunities for this.
Besides its consumer exhibitions,
going forward the company
also plans to focus intensively
on the meetings
and conference sector. KA
