Leyla Aysel Munteanu<br />

Leyla Aysel Munteanu was born in Hunedoara, Romania in 1967 and moved to Canada in 1998.<br />
She has an impressive list <strong>of</strong> academic achievements including B.Sc., BFA, B.Ed., and MFA.<br />
Leyla works in many different media but enjoys mixed media <strong>the</strong> most. Her work appears in<br />
private collections all over <strong>the</strong> world and she has received awards for her art in many national<br />
and international competitions. She is also featured in many publications, from <strong>the</strong> USA to<br />
Italy. Leyla is interested in expressing situations and feelings, which we experience as human<br />
beings, using a wide variety <strong>of</strong> both traditional and innovative materials.<br />
