Meliza
Portugal
Meliza was Born in Gondomar in Portugal in September 1946. Her
interest in art and design began in the 1970s with textile painting and
she also attended oil painting and watercolour classes in a private school
in Lisbon. Later on, in the 1990s, the development of her painting was
largely influenced by African art, mostly due to her experiences in Africa
where she lived.
Meliza put her art aside for many years, but, having retired in early 2013,
she has once again picked up her brushes and is now, using a different
technique, producing work painting with acrylics.
