VIFER<br />
To look at <strong>the</strong> art <strong>of</strong> VIFER, is like looking at a stage bursting with colour. His<br />
formats and <strong>the</strong>mes are multifaceted but <strong>the</strong> design and colour are always<br />
balanced, as is <strong>the</strong> geometry throughout <strong>the</strong> various subjects that he<br />
presents to us. I am sure that we are in <strong>the</strong> presence <strong>of</strong> a painter with an<br />
artistic make-up that defines itself through <strong>the</strong> unusual personality <strong>of</strong> one<br />
who is self-taught. His experience in Angola was so strong that <strong>the</strong> hot<br />
colours remained forever etched in his psyche. To try to pigeonhole VIFER<br />
into a particular style is wrong. <strong>Art</strong> should not come with any preconceptions<br />
and VIFER believes in this adage, eschewing any kind <strong>of</strong> comment, for he has<br />
nothing to lose having <strong>the</strong> creativity that many crave.<br />
