Brazil Maria Lucia Veiga Maria Lucia Veiga, 66 years old, was born in Rio de Janeiro. She achieved her Batchelor’s Degree in Literature at the University of Brasilia where she later went on to gain a Master’s in Literary Theory. She attended the painting studio of Professor Lourenço de Bem, in Brasilia between 2003 and 2004 and then, from 2005 and 2006, she studied at the Atelier “Arte Ilimitada” in Portugal under the guidance of Manuel Vilarinho. During 2005 and later, in 2010, Maria took part in several collective exhibitions in Brazil and Portugal and also held a solo show in Portugal. Her 2005 painting entitled “Sapo”, won an award at the “Proyecto Cultural Sur” in Brasilia.
