developments since 1966, this is still a quick read, clearly written, and extremely instructive.<br />

Cook & Campbell (1979)<br />

An extended review and discussion <strong>of</strong> quasi-experimental design, which is the most popular and important<br />

tool for practitioners. It details a variety <strong>of</strong> quasi-experimental approaches suitable to real world research,<br />

together with statistical techniques applicable to each.<br />

Statistics Books<br />

Basic statistical procedures and concepts<br />

A First Course in Statistics, 9th Edition<br />

McClave, Sincich, & McClave (2005). A decent book for an introduction to statistics and has all the formulas<br />

for very basic statistical methods.<br />
