Article 2. confessed ORIGINAL SIN. "Since<br />

<strong>the</strong> fall <strong>of</strong> Adam all men descending from him by<br />

ordinary generation are born in sin, which places<br />

under condemnation and bringeth eternal death <strong>to</strong><br />

all who are not born again by baptism and <strong>the</strong> Holy<br />

Ghost."<br />

Article 3. confessed <strong>the</strong> PERSON AND<br />

OFFICE OF CHRIST. "The Son <strong>of</strong> God assumed<br />

humanity and has thus two natures, <strong>the</strong> divine and<br />

human, in His one person, inseparably conjoined:<br />

one Christ, very God and very man. He was born<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Virgin, He truly suffered, was crucified, died<br />

and was buried, that He might reconcile us <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Fa<strong>the</strong>r, and be <strong>the</strong> sacrifice, not only for <strong>the</strong><br />

original sin, but also for all <strong>the</strong> actual<br />

transgressions <strong>of</strong> men."<br />

Article 4. confessed <strong>the</strong> doctrine <strong>of</strong><br />
