Did you notice that the generated name for the view is in German? Anyway, you
can then look at the fields that can be retrieved from the view by moving to the
View Flds tab (Figure 15.6).

You’ll notice that the SAP system has b een very clever and worked out the type
and length of the FIRST_INITIAL field from the CDS view , a field that doesn’t
directly refer to a database table field and hence is not tied to a data element.
