Ladies and gentlemen, will you please rise at this time so we<br />

can welcome our <strong>of</strong>ficers and directors <strong>of</strong> the <strong>New</strong> <strong>England</strong><br />

<strong>Association</strong> <strong>of</strong> Fire Chiefs to the <strong>70th</strong> <strong>Annual</strong> Banquet. Will the<br />

Sergeant-at-Arms please escort the <strong>of</strong>ficers and guests to their<br />

seats.<br />

[The orchestra played Hail to the Chief as the procession<br />

marched in to a standing ovation.]<br />

DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF DAVISON: Good evening, ladies<br />

and gentlemen. I’m Deputy Chief Ray E. Davison. It’s a real<br />

pleasure and honor to serve as your Master <strong>of</strong> Ceremonies this<br />

evening. I take great pride in being a member <strong>of</strong> this great<br />

organization and being a 35-year member <strong>of</strong> the great fraternity,<br />

the fire service, <strong>of</strong> which we all belong. A most cordial<br />

welcome to all <strong>of</strong> you.<br />

Please permit me to introduce the head table. To my far right<br />

the Reverend Charles Chalk, Chaplain <strong>of</strong> the <strong>New</strong> <strong>England</strong><br />

Fire Chiefs <strong>Association</strong> from Merrimack, <strong>New</strong> Hampshire. Our<br />

Host Chief, Chief Leonard Senecal and his wife Cindy. The<br />

Second Vice President Robert Nunes and his wife Sandy. First<br />

Vice President Chief Carl Winslow and his wife Pat.<br />

To my far left the Reverend Stephen Foley, Reverend <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>New</strong> <strong>England</strong> Fire Chiefs. Martin Jordan and his wife Amelia.<br />

Mr. Ted Teffner and his wife Elizabeth, selectman from the<br />

Town <strong>of</strong> Stowe, where our president resides. And <strong>of</strong> course our<br />

most important guest here tonight is the.president <strong>of</strong> our <strong>Association</strong>,<br />

Chief Wendall Mansfield and his wife Phyllis.<br />
