here this evening. Chief Leonard Senecal. Chief Senecal.
CHIEF LEONARD E. SENECAL: [Sturbridge, MA] Thank
you very much. Chiefs, wives, honored guests, I’d like to take
this opportunity to say thank you for four enjoyable years of
Conferences. This has been a memorable experience for me and
my wife. We’ve had a great time meeti.ng new people and learning
new things. It has been our pleasure to share our quaint
town with you. And I hope that you leave holding fond
memories.
I wish you a pleasant evening and may all of you have a safe
year through these trying times. May we all meet again next
year. Thank you very much. Thanks.
[Applause]
DEPUTY CHIEF DAVISON: Thank you very much, Chief
Senecal.
The guest speaker this evening is a person who many of us
have known over the years from Vermont. We all know him
being a person who has run for governor ever since 1962. We
note today he has his poster or barn up and that he’s running
again this year. But after losing each election, Danny says he
starts running again the next day just as those who got elected.
Again, the next day he’s right out there with all of the votegetting
people.
Danny is known as an outstanding person in his field of
Vermont politics, and some history. He’s done some writing
and been on TV and everything, but we must say tonight that
the New England Association of Fire Chiefs just does not
endorse candidates. However, usually just the winners of an
election get attention but not tonight because it’s my obligation
to introduce a loser.
Here to complete the introduction, please welcome Danny
Gore from Avery’s Gore, Danny Gore, Representative Danny
Gore.
MR. DURWOOD GORE: Good evening, my name is Durwood
Gore and I’m the son of Danny Gore, who’s been running for
governor from the State of Vermont since 1962. He also had
wise votes reported by scanner.
This is my mother Delphine, you know, the consistent fans of
Danny Gore.
