PRESIDENT MANSFIELD: I need the motion passed that was just made by Chief Winslow on the postponement and I believe it has to be on’behalf of the Board of Directors. I would read it. "I hereby move that the Association postpone indefinitely the proposed by-law changes made by Carl and seconded by John Flaherty." Any discussion on the motion? Chief. CHIEF RONALD M. LIMA: [Windsor, VT] Why the postponement? CHIEF WINSLOW: At this time it is felt by the Board of Directors that they would like to propose next year a more in-depth revision of the by-laws. It’s been suggested by a number of the members that there are other sections of the by-laws that need to be updated and rather than do it piecemeal, to do it all at once. That is the reason the Board is recommending a postponement at this time. RETIRED CHIEF GERARD A. CARLE: [Dracut, MA] If I heard right, you said with the Board’s recommendation. Other than the by-laws committee; is that. right? CHIEF WINSLOW: Yes. RETIRED CHIEF CARLE: Thank you. PRESIDENT MANSFIELD: Any other discussion on the motion?
