Phyllis Mansfield. MRS. PATRICIA WINSLOW: On behalf of the Ladies Committee, I present this gift to you for a job ~vell done. [Applause] MRS. PHYLLIS MANSFIELD: Thank you. It has been fun and an interesting year getting all the gifts and I want to thank the committee for all their help they have helped me with. And thank you. [Applause] DEPUTY CHIEF DAVISON: I would like at this time to introduce Harold Roeder, who is the Representative of the Vendors Association. He would like to make a presentation at this time. Harold. [Applause] MR. HAROLD ROEDER: Thank you for giving me this opportunity to speak to you a minute and in appreciation of the vendors and myself we would like to thank both Marty Jordan and Charlie Maurais for all the work they have done for us in these conventions and the shows and getting it all together. But behind them there are two women that always are running to do this by their husbands. And for this brief moment I would like to give a little vote of thanks to Linda Maurais. Would you please come up here, and Amy. Thank you for the hours and hours of work that you have done for these men and also for the miles and miles of traffic you have run all over the place and keeping us on track. Thank you very much. [Bouquets presented to Mrs. Linda Maurais and Mrs. Amelia Jordan.] [Applause] DEPUTY CHIEF DAVISON: Thank you, Harold, and thank you ladies. At this time we’re going to bring to a conclusion our program for the evening. I would just like to leave you with this thought as we do this that the fire service is, as I said earlier,. one of the greatest fraternities that ever existed. It brings men and women together to provide for a service that is unparalleled in any other way and for that reason we have a big task to do in the future. As I come to these meetings, and I want to express my great appreciation to my good friend Chief Wendall for permitting me to participate in his particular program. I want to thank him for this opportunity because it is a real honor and privilege to join with you folks to help lead things into the future. O.K.
