All those in favor of the motion at 5 as the motion is amended
to $5,000, signify by raising ~our hand and ~vait a minute.
Again, only one guy is talking. Everybody is talking at once.
RETIRED CHIEF MERTON S. DYER: [Peterborough, NH]
You had an amendment to the motion. The amendment was
voted on. Now you must vote on the main motion as amended.
And the main motion as amended is I believe what we’re talking
about. It just says the salary shall be $5,000 and that
requires another vote by the group.
PRESIDENT MANSFIELD: Back to the motion. All those in
favor of the amendment at the $5,000 motion, raise your hands.

Now the salary for the Secretary. The same, it has to be voted
on just the same.

motion that the salary remain as the present for the coming
year.
CHIEF JAMES M. HALLISEY: [Brockton, MA] I second the
motion that the salary remain the same.
