Always in New Hampshire. I can’t get over what has happened
in politics since 1988. It all started with Gary Hart. You
don’t remember that Hart, you know, the fellow burned on hot
Rice there. I don’t know whether it was instant or three minutes.
[Laughter]
But the thing is and what happens this year, presidential, a
candidate come up to enough sure Bill Clinton. First Gennifer
Flowers is asking about the affair. Well, he said he just buzzed
Flowers a few times and she claims he pollinated. [Laughter]
You may say some people get ugly. What does that have to do
with politics? In Vermont you’re running in the State of Vermont.
That happens at that level. Sure. Ever since those episodes,
Mrs. Gore makes me wear suspenders and a belt.
[Laughter]
She says that will make me think twice. [Laughter and
applause]
And the other thing is they can come right up to you now.
Sure. They can say, "Did you ever commit adultery?" They can
ask that now. They said to me, "Danny, did you ever commit
adultery?"
I said, "I can’t remember, I’ve been eating ~elly beans."

Look at this, a principle. This is New H.ampshire principles.
Sure. With all the technology of going to the moon and everything
else, we haven’t advanced from the outhouse, have we?
[Laughter]
But cultures are changing. We’re having trouble in Vermont.
The rainbow gathering, for those of you who are following the
newspapers, people come from the rainbow family. We had a
summer resident that came to Vermont -- and I am just trying to
show you the rural things are changing. Now, my Cousin Casfor
