1. Combine the dark rum and coffee powder in small cup, stirring until

dissolved.

2. Reserve 1/2 cup cake mix. Mix the remaining cake mix, melted butter,

and 1 egg in a large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed 1 to 2

minutes until blended. Press into prepared pan.

3. Mix the ricotta cheese, condensed milk, and rum-coffee mixture in a

large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed for 1 minute until

blended. Mix in the reserved 1/2 cup cake mix and remaining 3 eggs on

medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes until blended. Stir in the toffee bits with

a wooden spoon. Spread evenly over prepared crust.

4. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until center is just barely set when pan is

jiggled (do not overbake). Transfer to wire rack and cool completely.

Chill at least 4 hours or overnight. If desired, dust bars with cocoa

powder. Cut into bars.

1 (18.25-ounce) package white cake mix

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened

1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

2 cups packed light brown sugar

1 1/2 cups buttermilk (not nonfat)

4 large eggs
