nuts, or sprinkles, then place on prepared cookie sheets. Chill at least 1

GIANT APPLE-PIE PIZZA COOKIE

Two great American classics—apple pie and pizza—come together for one

perfect dessert.

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°F

MAKES 1 EXTRA-LARGE COOKIE (16 SERVINGS)

12-INCH PIZZA PAN, UNGREASED

1 (18.25-ounce) package white cake mix

1 1/4 cups quick-cooking oats, divided

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 (21-ounce) can apple pie filling

Optional: 1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries

1. Mix the cake mix, 1 cup of the oats, and butter in a large bowl with a

wooden spoon until blended and crumbly. Reserve 1 cup of crumbs.

Press the remaining crumbs into ungreased pizza pan, forming a narrow

rim around edge of pan. Bake 10 minutes.

2. Mix the walnuts, brown sugar, egg, cinnamon, oil, and remaining 1/4 cup

oats into reserved 1 cup crumbs with a wooden spoon until blended.

3. Remove crust from oven and spread with apple pie filling. If desired,
