xivInteractive Textbook: Workspaces and self-assessment toolsAlmost every question in CambridgeMATHS NSW Second Edition can be completed and saved bystudents, including showing full working-out and students critically assessing their own work. This isdone via the workspaces and self-assessment tools that are found below every question in the InteractiveTextbook.8 The new Workspaces enable students to enter working and answers online and to save them. Inputis by typing, with the help of a symbol palette, handwriting and drawing on tablets, or by uplodingimages of writing or drawing.9 The new self-assessment tools enable students to check answers including questions that have beenred-flagged, and can rate their confidence level in their work, and alert teachers to questions thestudent has had particular trouble with. This self-assessment helps develop responsibility for learningand communicates progress and performance to the teacher.10 Teachers can view the students’ self-assessment individually or provide feedback.
