Given that these pairs of triangles are similar, find the

value of the pronumerals.

SOLUTION

Scale factor = 15 5 = 3

x = 4 × 3 = 12

y = 9 ÷ 3 = 3

EXPLANATION

First find the scale factor.

Multiply or divide by the scale factor to find the

values of the pronumerals.
