Une voiture arrêtée le long du trottoir, portière ouverte. Tony debout à droite aide Robin à
descendre de voiture.
REPORTER Oh my God, Robin Simon from « Manhattan-Mood »!
Robin et Tony s’avancent, Tony aide Robin à retirer son imperméable.
REPORTER Congratulations for your show, your pregnancy, your marriage, everything.
ROBIN Thank you.
TONY Doesn‘t she look beautiful?
REPORTER Oh who knew angels flew so low? It‘s incredible, your show is just taking off,
and I‘m so jealous, and you look so great… What do you think of this rain?
ROBIN It‘s really something, isn‘t it?
REPORTER Oh it is. Look, you have a great time, you look incredible…
ROBIN Thank you.
REPORTER Oh look, there are more people coming…
La caméra suit Robin et Tony, en plan rapproché, de profil puis de dos, qui pénètrent dans le
cinéma. La voix de la femme reporter s’estompe tandis qu’ils s’éloignent.
PLAN 7.
L’entrée du cinéma, filmée de l’intérieur. Sur la bande son, une version instrumentale de
« You oughta be in pictures ». Des figurants passent devant la caméra, on voit Robin et Tony
qui entrent. Tony tend l’imperméable de Robin à un employé hors champ. Ils s’avancent en
pied. Au premier plan, une verticale, chambranle de porte ou fin pilier, divise le champ en
deux parties inégales, un tiers à gauche, deux tiers à droite. Tony et Robin occupent la partie
droite. Robin se tourne vers la gauche, réagit, sourit.
ROBIN Oh my goodness, Lee!
Un petit mouvement de caméra révèle Lee, en pied dans la partie gauche du champ.
LEE Why- what? Why, you‘re just, you‘re- What are you doing? Incredible-
ROBIN What, wh-
LEE I haven‘t seen you for, for the…
ROBIN Well I-
LEE Last time I saw you was at a movie, again!
ROBIN Well, that‘s- this is my husband, Tony.
Lee passe de l’autre côté du champ, la caméra le suit. Les trois personnages sont en plan
américain, Tony un peu en retrait. Ils sont parfois dissimulés par les spectateurs qui entrent
et passent devant la caméra.
LEE Hey congratulations ! (Il embrasse Robin) You look- what- you‘re transformed!
Ils avancent jusqu’à ce qu’ils soient en plan rapproché.
ROBIN It‘s such a surprise, this is not your kind of movie.

Ils entrent de dos dans le hall d’accès à la salle. Sur la gauche, on devine le comptoir de
vente des rafraîchissements et pop-corn.
ROBIN Oh I read this interview, it was marvellous!
LEE Marvellous? Didn‘t I hear you just use what used to be your least favorite word?
Le trio s’arrête.
TONY It‘s those crossword puzzles.
LEE I guess so.
Tony se tourne vers Robin.
