PREREQUISITES:<br />

Active <strong>Army</strong> or Reserve Component enlisted Soldiers that meet enlistment requirements.<br />

Selected by PERSCOM (Active <strong>Army</strong>) or recommended by unit commander (Reserve<br />

Component). Meets requirements outlined in AR 350-1, paragraphs 3-8 and 3-9, and met TABE<br />

requirements. A minimum score of (88 in aptitude area MM and 92 in aptitude area GT) or a<br />

minimum score of 99 in aptitude area MM on ASVAB tests administered on and after 1 July 2004.<br />

Active and Reserve Soldiers over 40 must complete required medical screening and received<br />

status prior to attending. Only SSGs and promotable SGTs will attend. Successfully completed<br />

the Warrior Leader Course (WLC) (formerly PLDC) or equivalent unless promoted prior to linkage<br />

of NCOES to promotion. Successfully completed WLC at least 6 months prior to attending this<br />

course.<br />

COURSE SCOPE:<br />

CAI: Common logistic lessons: course introduction; force XXI; Ordnance Corps history; Global<br />

Positioning System; introduction to computers; Electronic Technical Manuals; <strong>Army</strong> Oil Analysis<br />

Program; maintenance team deployment, and a written test. Technical: CD 9-101, Bradley<br />

Fighting Vehicle Maintenance, includes the following titles: Troubleshooting M2/M3 NBC System,<br />

Separate Engine and Transmission, M2/M3 Vehicle Familiarization, Advanced Electronics, VTA<br />

903T Engine; and CD 9-114, Hydraulic & Electrical Schematics; and a written test.<br />

SPECIAL INFORMATION:<br />

Phase 2 of this course consists of distance learning. When the student is enrolled in this course,<br />

the student will receive a course introduction with instructions for completing this course through<br />

the mail. Distance learning must be completed prior to entering phase 3.<br />

For access to eOrdnanceU "Blackboard" MOS training as an alternative site for materials:<br />

1) Log on to https://courses.apg.army.mil/ using your AKO credentials.<br />

2) Select the tab labeled "eOrdnanceU Courses".<br />

The left side of the screen contains courses you are enrolled in and the right side is the Course<br />

Catalog.<br />

--Select "Distributed Learning (dL) Courseware" which is on the right side of the screen in the<br />

Course Catalog.<br />

--Select course OMMS_ALC_Common_Mandatory_dL_Training, with title ALC (63 Series)<br />

DISTRIBUTED LEARNING PHASE 2.<br />

--Select "Enroll" on the right side after the course information.<br />

--Review the course information and then select "Submit".<br />

Note: There are different types of access options for an instructor to set. They include: Self<br />

Enrollment; Email Request to the Instructor; and Access Code. Follow the instructions on the<br />

screen.<br />

--A confirmation notice will appear confirming you are successfully enrolled in the course.<br />

Select the "OK" button and the course announcement page will appear.<br />

--This completes course enrollment. Follow the course information from this point.<br />
