Decision Sciences. Commissioned Officers of U.S. military services must be O3 or above and<br />

have not less than 7 years and not more than 16 years of total commissioned service. U.S. <strong>Army</strong><br />

officers must have completed or been awarded constructive credit for branch advanced courses<br />

and must have 3 years of anticipated active duty service remaining after completion of the<br />

course. The nominee should have a minimum of 3 years practical logistics experience. The<br />

nominee should be a graduate of the primary course(s) supporting the logistics<br />

specialty/specialties possessed. The nominee should have at least one of the following:<br />

Specialties 51, 53, 67, or specialties numbered 74 through 97 (described in AR 611-101).<br />

Nominated officers MUST comply with AR 600-9, The <strong>Army</strong> Weight Control Program.<br />

Warrant Officers can attend the course on a "by exception" basis. Warrant Officers interested in<br />

attending should call the <strong>Logistics</strong> Warrant Officer Branch at HRC.<br />

Active component officers should contact their branch assignment officer at HRC Alexandria to<br />

initiate the process to attend TLog. Reserve component officers in the <strong>Army</strong> Reserve should<br />

contact their HRC St. Louis branch assignment officers. ARNG officers will submit their<br />

applications via the unit training officer, state or territory Plans, Ops and Training Office (POTO).<br />

Civilian Personnel: Civilian nominees must be in grade GS-13 or above with career status and<br />

have 5 years of cumulative experience in military logistics or closely related industrial experience.<br />

They must have demonstrated high potential for development as evidenced by their career<br />

evaluations and specific awards and recognition directly related to logistics accomplishments.<br />

The nominee should be in one of the following career fields: 13, Supply Management; 17,<br />

Materiel Maintenance Management; 20, Quality Assurance; 24, Transportation; 26, Manpower<br />

and Force Management; or 33, Ammunition. The following series apply: 301, 334, 340, 343, 346,<br />

1101, 1152, 1601, 1670, 1710, 2001, 2003, 2010, 2030, 2032, 2050, 2101, 2130, or 2150. TLog<br />

is an integral part of the <strong>Army</strong> Civilian Training, Education and Development System (ACTEDS),<br />

enrolling and completing graduation requirements may greatly enhance career progression in the<br />

major logistics fields of Supply Management, Materiel Maintenance Management, and<br />

Transportation Management.<br />

COURSE SCOPE:<br />

The Theater <strong>Logistics</strong> Studies Program is the <strong>Army</strong>’s premier course for selected senior<br />

Company and Field Grade Officers, civilian logisticians and international students who will be<br />

positioned within the <strong>Army</strong> as multifunctional, joint, and multinational logistics problem solvers.<br />

This course targets logisticians at the Operational level while ensuring an understanding of<br />

Strategic logistics.<br />

SPECIAL INFORMATION:<br />

On 25 July 2008, HQDA approved the award of the Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) - (P1) for those<br />

Soldiers who have successfully completed the TLOG course on or after 1 August 2007. TLog also<br />

provides Defense Acquisition <strong>University</strong> course equivalency for five DAU courses: ACQ 101,<br />

ACQ 201, CON 100, LOG 101 and LOG 201.<br />

This course is releasable to students from all requesting foreign countries without restrictions.<br />
