PREREQUISITES:<br />

Open to all officers in all military occupational specialties with duty potential for performing<br />

installation level logistics sustainment functions; enlisted personnel (E-5 to E-9), civilian personnel<br />

(GS-5 to GS-13), and local national employees (English speaking) of comparable grades or rank.<br />

Attendees must meet the core knowledge, skills and abilities of their present positions with<br />

demonstrated potential to grasp the concepts and functions of logistical areas beyond daily duty<br />

requirements. Individual will be selected and approved by their command organization for<br />

attendance to this course. Students must have good oral and written communication skills.<br />

COURSE SCOPE:<br />

The course provides exposure to all logistics functional areas at the installation level. It addresses<br />

the service support programs under the auspices of the Installation Management Command<br />

performed within the Directorate of <strong>Logistics</strong> (DOL) focusing on responsibilities, practices, and<br />

challenges at all levels of the IMCOM to develop and increase competence and effectiveness in<br />

installation logistics support. Course objectives are designed to enhance the logistics experiences<br />

of individuals whose job responsibilities interface with organizations, activities and functions<br />

required to perform logistics either at the installation level or in a major stakeholder organization.<br />

The course presents an introduction to installation logistics management from the National Guard<br />

and <strong>Army</strong> Materiel Command perspective.<br />

PREREQUISITES:<br />

Students should be mid-to-senior level logistics managers from organizations such as DHS,<br />

FEMA, and the Military services (Active, Guard, Reserve). Military officers (O-4 through O-6),<br />

warrant officers (W-3 through W-5), senior Non-commissioned officers (E-8 through E-9), or DOD<br />

civilians (GS-12 through GS-15 or equivalent) assigned to, or en-route to, a position requiring<br />

Interagency logistics knowledge. Civilians from nongovernmental and volunteer agencies are<br />

invited to attend.<br />
