COURSE SCOPE:<br />

This course consists of TRADOC common core training which is mandatory and is a graduation<br />

requirement. The training will be provided and managed by the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Human Resource<br />

Command. Course also contains Warrior Training and petroleum laboratory specialist technical<br />

training: The instruction teaches warfighting skills required to lead a platoon-sized element in<br />

combat and reinforces MOS training, utilizing performance-oriented training and open discussion<br />

on petroleum laboratory management, safety, quality surveillance programs and petroleum<br />

laboratory facilities.<br />

SPECIAL INFORMATION:<br />

Soldiers attending Professional Military Education training courses that are less than 8 weeks will<br />

not be administered the APFT as a course requirement. Soldiers are required to meet<br />

height/weight requirements. Soldiers who fail to meet the body fat composition standard of AR<br />

600-9 and meets the academic requirements will be considered an academic course graduate<br />

but, 11.c of their DA Form 1059 will be marked ―Marginally achieved course standards,‖ and item<br />

14 will be marked ―Failed to meet body fat composition standards.<br />

Soldiers who fail to meet the body fat composition standard of AR 600-9 and meets academic<br />

requirements will be considered an academic course graduate but, 11.c of their DA Form 1059<br />

will be marked,<br />

"Marginally achieved course standards," and item 14 will be marked "Failed to meet body fat<br />

composition standards".<br />

For Soldiers who fail to meet weight control standards, their DA Form 1059 and graduation<br />

certificates will NOT be held at the institution.<br />

Prior to the start of each class, the SGL will provide vignettes to students covering <strong>Army</strong> values.<br />

Course length are computed based on a 44 Hour academic week/48 Hour training week.<br />

PREREQUISITES:<br />

Active <strong>Army</strong> or Reserve Component enlisted personnel. Department of Defense (DOD) civilians<br />

currently assigned or under orders for assignment to a position which requires knowledge of the<br />

technical aspects of the Petroleum Supply Specialist ALC duties, selected by PERSCOM (Active<br />

<strong>Army</strong>) or recommended by unit commander (Reserve Component), meets requirements outlined<br />

in AR 350-1 (paragraph 3-8). All except SSGs must have successfully completed the Primary<br />

Leadership Development Course (PLDC) at least six months before attending this course. Meets<br />

requirements outlined in AR 350-1, paragraphs 3-8 and 3-9. Active and Reserve Soldiers over 40<br />

must complete required medical screening and receive status prior to attending.<br />
