COURSE SCOPE: The ALU Facilitators Course is a 40-hour, entry-level instructor course for new<br />
instructors assigned to instructor positions within the Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE).<br />
In the ALU Facilitators Course, new instructors are introduced to the foundations of educational<br />
philosophies as defined by the <strong>Army</strong>, the Command and General Staff College (CGSC), and the<br />
<strong>Army</strong> <strong>Logistics</strong> <strong>University</strong> (ALU). The ALU Facilitators Course uses Small Group Instruction<br />
(SGI) to model teaching methods that provide classroom experiences based on adult learning<br />
principles the Experiential Learning Model (ELM), Learning Style Theory, intellectual standards,<br />
and adult learning environment. A CGSC certified instructor of Staff and Faculty Development,<br />
ALU facilitates this course.<br />

COURSE SCOPE:<br />
This course provides installation staff and contract personnel with the information required to<br />
assist and support the training cadre to develop basically trained, disciplined, motivated, and<br />
physically fit Soldiers who espouse the <strong>Army</strong>’s core values and are focused on teamwork.<br />
Course length is 4.5 hours and class size is limited to 35 students. The ISCTC provides training<br />
for all installation staff, medical, dental, and contract personnel, who in the execution of their<br />
duties, come into daily or frequent contact with IET Soldiers and includes, but not limited to, CIF<br />
employees, dining facility (DFAC) employees, medical and dental personnel and other civilian<br />
installation personnel; eg., drug and alcohol representatives, etc.<br />
