PREREQUISITES:<br />
Active <strong>Army</strong> or Reserve Component enlisted Soldier that meets enlistment requirements.<br />
Selected by PERSCOM (Active <strong>Army</strong>) or recommended by unit commander (Reserve<br />
Component). Qualified in MOS 92Y. Meets requirements outlined in AR 351-1, paragraph 5-14,<br />
and met TABE requirements. Active and Reserve Soldiers over 40 must complete required<br />
medical screening and received status prior to attending. Only SSGs and promotable SGTs will<br />
attend. Successfully completed PLDC or equivalent unless promoted prior to linkage of NCOES<br />
to promotion. Successfully completed PLDC at least 6 months prior to attending this course.<br />
COURSE SCOPE:<br />
Map reading; land navigation; Air-Land Battle; preventative maintenance checks and services,<br />
property accountability; enlisted personnel management/evaluation system; awards;<br />
organizational clothing and equipment; the <strong>Army</strong> Maintenance Management System;<br />
organizational maintenance and security of small arms; forecasting and storage of supplies; sling<br />
load procedures, and shop stock procedures. Leadership, communications, resource<br />
management and professional skills, including counseling, authority of the NCO and the leader as<br />
a teacher, and military skills such as inspections, drill/ceremony, and training/training<br />
management. Automatic data processing subjects such as fundamentals of automation, Tactical<br />
<strong>Army</strong> Combat Service Support Computer System (TACCS) orientation, TACCS application lab,<br />
TACCS management, Standard Property Book System-Redesign (SPBS-R), and introduction to<br />
the unit level logistics system.<br />
