PREREQUISITES:<br />

Active <strong>Army</strong> or Reserve Component senior enlisted soldiers that meets enlistment requirements.<br />

Selected by PERSCOM (Active <strong>Army</strong>) or recommended by unit commander (Reserve<br />

Component). Meets requirements outlined in AR 350-1, paragraphs 3-8 and 3-9, and met TABE<br />

requirement. Active and Reserve soldiers over 40 must complete required medical screening and<br />

receive status prior to attending. Only SFC and promotable SSGs will attend. Successfully<br />

completed 30 level BNCOC or equivalent unless promoted to SSG prior to linkage of NCOES to<br />

promotion. Successfully completed BNCOC at least 1 year prior to attending course. Uncorrected<br />

distant visual acuity of not more than 20/200 in each eye, that corrects with spectacle lenses to<br />

20/20 in one eye and 20/40 in other eye. MOSC qualification per AR 56-9, at each level of skill.<br />

Prior to attending this course, students are required to complete DA Form 7434 (Marine<br />

Application Medical Form) with the Soldier's Commander's signature issued within 45 days of<br />

class start date.<br />

Prior to attending this course, students MUST complete lesson number 062-88K40 dL titled,<br />

"Navigational Mathematics", print and present the Certificate of Completion during in-processing<br />

to 88K ANCOC PH II. Lesson will be accessed through the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Transportation Corps<br />

website: https://trans.learn.army.mil/webapps/portal/frameset.jsp (AKO Username and Password<br />

is required). See 88K40 Prerequisite Course listed under "Courses In Which You Are Enrolled".<br />

Students must also complete the Composite Risk Management (CRM) Operational Course (dL)<br />

on line through the Combat Readiness <strong>University</strong> at the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Combat Readiness Center<br />

website: https://crc.army.mil this is a prerequisite for graduation from the ANCOC.<br />

Phase Prerequisites: This course will now be a two-phase course. Phase I, resident<br />

Transportation Deployment/Distribution ANCOC, 8-88-C42 or Reserve Component<br />

Transportation Deployment/Distribution ANCOC, 551-8-88-C42-A Phase I and 551-8-88-C42-B<br />

Phase I and Phase II, MOS specific technical training. Phase I is a prerequisite for phase II.Active<br />

<strong>Army</strong> or Reserve Component enlisted personnel (SFC OR SSG). Selected by DA (Active <strong>Army</strong>)<br />

or recommended by unit commander (Reserve Component). Qualified in CMF 88 (or MOS 88K).<br />

Meets requirements outlined in AR 351-1, Para 5-20. Active <strong>Army</strong> and AGR personnel over 40<br />

must complete medical MOSC qualification per AR 56-9, at each level of skill.<br />

COURSE SCOPE:<br />

This course consists of two phases. Phase I (one) which consists of resident Transportation<br />

Deployment/Distribution ANCOC 8-88-C42, and curriculum of leadership, military, and<br />

professional skills, resource and management training conducted in a structured environment.<br />

Phase II (two) consists of 428 hours of proponent selected learning objectives consist of:<br />

Common Marine/technical Tasks, Vessel Administrations and Leadership, Shipboard Emergency<br />

Drills, General Deck Seamanship and Communications, Piloting, LCU Operations and Tugboat<br />

Maneuvering, Collision Avoidance Radar Training, Bridge Resource Management and Field<br />

Training Exercise (FTX). Students must complete phase II and pass the Marine Technical<br />

Examination (MTE) for certification.<br />
