provide the structure used to tie together blocks of instruction in the course. While the course<br />
focuses on the deliberate JCIDS process, instruction and discussion also covers the urgent and<br />
immediate requirements process(es) as well.<br />
SPECIAL INFORMATION: GS-07 and GS-09 interns must attend ALMC-TI (Combat, Training,<br />
Doctrine Developers Integration Course (CTDDIC) prior to attendance at the Capability<br />
Developers Course. GS-07 interns will not be accepted into the ALMC-CD and GS-09 interns<br />
working in the combat developments career field may be accepted only after obtaining GS-09 and<br />
after obtaining approval from the course director. This course is not releasable to students from<br />
foreign countries unless assigned to a TRADOC Center of Excellence (CoE) as an exchange<br />
officer working as a Capability Developer. They must have the approval of their Capabilities<br />
Development & Integration Directorate (CDID) sponsor and must have signed all required nondisclosure<br />
statements as required for their position within the CDID. The Joint Staff, J8<br />
Requirements Management Directorate has recognized successful completion of this course as<br />
meeting requirements for Capabilities Development Tracking and Management (CDTM) tool<br />
training certification.<br />

PREREQUISITES:<br />
This course is primarily for TRADOC CP 32 training development, capability development or<br />
doctrine development civilian interns (GS-7 through GS-9) or other newly assigned TRADOC<br />
personnel in positions requiring any of these three disciplines. Nominees will be accepted based<br />
on the following priority: 1) CP 32 training development, capability development or doctrine<br />
development interns; 2) CP 32 personnel currently working in the training development, capability<br />
development or doctrine development arenas; 3) military who perform functions in any one or<br />
more of the aforementioned disciplines; 4) Other DA civilian interns in other career programs.<br />

COURSE SCOPE:<br />
This course will provide training developers, capability developers, and doctrine developers with<br />
skills and knowledge to integrate the basic concepts and principles of training, capability, and<br />
doctrine developments as part of the requirements determination and acquisition process. The<br />
course will orient students to the relationships of the three disciplines and the efficiencies to be<br />
gained by coordinating and integrating requirements throughout the planning process. The course<br />
will provide a foundation for subsequent courses that address more technical aspects of each<br />
discipline. Some key topics of the course include: integrated concept teams; materiel<br />
requirements; training development; doctrine development; and Doctrine, Organization, Training,<br />
Materiel, Leader Development, Personnel, Facilities (DOTMLPF) Analysis.<br />
