PREREQUISITES:<br />

Active <strong>Army</strong> or Reserve Component Noncommissioned Officers with recommendation of the unit<br />

commander. Qualified in MOS 88M. Meets requirements outlined in AR 350-1 (Para 3-6 thru Para<br />

3-8). First priority will be given to SGT (P)s and SSGs. Second priority will be given to SGTs who,<br />

because of unit shortages, are performing in positions for which the training is designed.<br />

Attendees must have successfully completed the Primary Leadership Development Course<br />

(PLDC) at least 6 months prior to attending this course.<br />

COURSE SCOPE:<br />

This course consists of two phases. Phase I (one), 811-88M30 consists of 52 hours of proponent<br />

distributive learning (dL) intended to train selected learning objectives. To complete the remaining<br />

learning objectives, the student must attend a subsequent resident Phase II (two) consisting of<br />

warrior lessons, squad leader responsibilities to include motor transport supervisory/trainer<br />

functions, convoy operations, truck squad tactics , traffic regulations applicable to convoy<br />

movements, Operational Environment Lessons Learned, and Ethical Decision Making.<br />

USASMA developed PH1 BNCOC Common Core whether resident or dLÙ, or ALC Common<br />

Core must also be completed to be considered a course graduate. This material may be<br />

completed before, during or after any Phase of this course.<br />

Phase Scope: This Phase is required training for both the Active <strong>Army</strong> Advanced Leaders<br />

Course (811-88M30) and Reserve Component Advanced Leaders Course (551-88M30) and must<br />

be completed prior to enrollment in the subsequent Phase. This Phase I (one) consists of 52<br />

hours of proponent distributed learning (DL) intended to train selected learning objectives The<br />

focus of this phase is to teach the specific duties and responsibilities of a Motor Transport Platoon<br />

Sergeant and Squad Leader.<br />

SPECIAL INFORMATION:<br />

This phase is currently under development and is not required at this time as a graduation<br />

requirement.<br />

Students must bring a valid DA Form 348 (DA Form 5983-E) and OF 346 (DA Form 5984-E) to<br />

be enrolled. Soldiers will be screened for HT/WT during in-processing and re-screened no earlier<br />

than 7 days after the initial failure (if necessary). Soldiers that fail to meet AR 600-9 requirements<br />

will be allowed to graduate but will receive a "MARGINALLY ACHIEVED COURSE<br />

STANDARDS" rating on their DA FORM 1059 and "FAILED TO MEET HT/WT STANDARDS IAW<br />

AR 600-9" in the DA 1059 remarks block.<br />

HQDA ALARACT MESSAGE 0752007 allows soldiers that fail the course required APFT to<br />

graduate institutional training. Soldiers that fail to pass the APFT will be allowed to graduate but<br />

will receive a "MARGINALLY ACHIEVED COURSE STANDARDS" rating on their DA FORM<br />
