management information systems and current <strong>Army</strong> force structure issues. As part of the<br />
educational process, the Manpower and Force Management Course emphasizes the critical<br />
need for students to develop quality interpersonal and communicative skills for the purpose of<br />
articulating resource requirements to decision makers.<br />
SPECIAL INFORMATION: The course proponent, HQDA G-1, will consider waivers to stated<br />
prerequisites only when requested by the Senior Manpower Analyst at the <strong>Army</strong> Command<br />
(ACOM) Headquarters on the basis of position title and assigned responsibility. Nominees are<br />
required to bring their own laptop or comparable computer in order to complete assignments.<br />
This course focuses on strategic manpower policy and issues as articulated by the Headquarters,<br />
Department of the <strong>Army</strong>. We respectfully request students desiring an understanding of local or<br />
unique manpower policy and issues not take the Manpower and Force Management Course.<br />

PREREQUISITES:<br />
The course is designed for military, civilian, and Defense contract personnel in organizations with<br />
HSI, combat development, or material development responsibilities. Such individuals should be<br />
involved in either the identification or resolution of issues, goals, constraints and concerns of<br />
manpower, personnel, training, human factors engineering, health hazards, system safety, and<br />
Soldier survivability in the acquisition of military equipment, weapons, and systems.<br />
COURSE SCOPE:<br />
Provides selective information on the MANPRINT/HSI process that is pertinent to the target<br />
audience scheduled to attend the given class. Units of instruction are selected from a menu of<br />
topics that reflect current areas of interest and concern. Course length and content are<br />
customized with topics selected by agency representatives and coordinated with the course<br />
director.<br />
