5 Staff Rules, 106.3-107.1
(i) The leave shall be granted for a total period of up to four weeks
or, in the case of internationally-recruited staff members serving
at a non-family duty station, up to eight weeks. In exceptional
circumstances, leave shall be granted for a total period of up to
eight weeks;
(ii) The leave may be taken either continuously or in separate periods
during the year following the birth of the child, provided it is
completed during that year;
(iii) The staff member shall receive paternity leave with full pay for the
entire duration of his absence.
(c) Sick leave shall not normally be granted for maternity cases except where
complications arise.
(d) Annual leave shall accrue during the period of maternity or paternity
leave.
Rule 106.4
Compensation for death, injury or illness attributable to service
Staff members shall be entitled to compensation in the event of death, injury or
illness attributable to the performance of official duties on behalf of the Authority,
in accordance with the rules set forth in Appendix D to the Staff Rules of the United
Nations, which rules shall be applicable, mutatis mutandis, to the Authority.
Rule 106.5
Compensation for loss or damage to personal effects attributable to service
Staff members shall be entitled, within the limits and under terms and
conditions established by the Secretary-General, to reasonable compensation in
the event of loss or damage to their personal effects determined to be directly
attributable to the performance of official duties on behalf of the Authority.
Rule 106.6
Medical insurance
Staff members may be required to participate in a medical insurance scheme
under conditions established by the Secretary-General.

Rule 107.1
Official travel of staff members
(a) Subject to the conditions laid down in these Rules, the Authority shall
pay the travel expenses of a staff member under the following circumstances:
